Ladies and Gentlemen:
　　It is my honor to be here to make a speech about business English for you .First of all,I will introduce myself .My name is XXX,form XXXuniversity.I am a junior student ,and my major is business administration. Now I will talk about some etiquette with westerners.

First,it’s talking. In western,they are individualism ,personal interest is everything for them .So we can not talk about their private life .Ege ,matiral status,income, religion and so on is taboo.Differing from chinese, westerners will be not happy if you ask them “where are you going” “how much these apple you buy” .What is more ,the senior citizens in western will be unpleasant if you call them “the old people ”. They think they are still yong even they are 80.Furthermore,Foreigner pay more attention to personal space .So we should keep distance when have a conversation.If you should sit near them,you can ask “May I sit down”. They like hearing good words ,so don’t be mean ! “Please” “Thank you ” “I’m sorry” “ I’m afraid” “Excuse me ” ,etc.

Second, it’s visiting .You must be on time when you are invited to their home or party.You can bring a simple gift and say “I hope you’ll like it ”. Don’ be modest ! Unlike chinese ,they like singular.It’s ok to give three pear as a present .Besides,foreigners will open the gift at once and say “oh,how nice!I like it very much,thank you !” Notably,they prefer to arrange their time accordingly,So don’t call on them unexpectedly.
Therefore,Making an appointment in advance isessential .

Third,catering is also important ,especially for western food .When you are having steak with your foreigner friends,you should follow these steps :left hand for fork,another hand for knife .They are putted oederly ,so you should take it form outside to inside .You are supposed to carry the silver knife and fork if eatting fish ,but steel knife and fork for meat .In addition ,napkin is oughted to put on the knee to clean your mouth and hands not your face !There will be a bowl for washing your fingers .The order of serving the dishes is cocktail ,soup ,fish or meat,green salad or cheese,dessert or fruit,coffee or tea .No speaking when your mouth are full of food.Don’t keep your dishes off dinning table to eat !You must screen the mouth if you want to pick the teeth !Don’t take off your tie or roll up sleeve or loosen buttons at liberty,

Last,respecting female is their traditional custom. So lady first when the lift going up and down or take
their place or order .While male should go ahead of female to find seat to let female sit down or open the door to let them enter the room or car .
